A "yörük" man is managing his camel on the road. The nomadic people who lives in the villages and fields on the Taurus mountains is called "yörük (yourugh)" in Turkish. This photo was taken in Hüseyinler Village in Kızkalesi (Korykos) district of Silifke in Mersin, Turkey. This man is managing his camel, carrying some wild herbs that cut down in the hill skirts. He is going to feed his cows when arrived at home. |
